Sacramento Is in Danger of Losing Its ONLY URBAN Club Please PASS THIS ON = If we do not grow up and act like adults and respect each other we are Not going to have anywhere to go. The list is now 38 Closed urban clubs in the Bay and Sac. And now even Jillian's you have to wear slacks. Women are now the biggest problem fighting. And murders outside clubs. When are we going to start wakening up? By 2008 we are not going to have any place to go out and it’s the people parking lot pimping because they cannot buy anything but a white T and Nikes. Or do not have $10 so there are going to hang out in front and try to talk to a woman walking out. Well this is also a big problem - so let’s just change things up some, it’s the weekend and your trying to think where I am going to go??? Unless you like rock and mash ups you might as well make it a block buster night. Because there is no places to go out anymore 38 CLOSED CLUBS. 38 CLOSED CLUBS hello are you hearing me I do not think so because another one will be closed soon and it’s the actions of people that are doing it. We lost a nice venue in Old Sac a nice place because people want to fight and act stupid. And we are going to lose another Sacramento club if the problems do not STOP. I send these out but by 1:30AM when the drinks have kicked in I hear "F the Club" so this is the last emails people. You cannot even go to the East Bay and Party there are no Clubs! And add $40 in gas to your wallet. We can go to LA and promote people respect the Club, Promoter and the City I am disappointed in how our young folks act towards each other. We are making it easy for people to stereotype Hip Hop as a trouble venue and there are less and less places to go now. And I do not see any change in young people or bonds to make change. I will pass this on for you so that we can try to make a change & hopefully a turnaround in our Sacramento nightlife. Things used to be soooo different only 6 years ago. When we had our Brandon's (& I know I jkust took you back!!), VIP, The Lighthouse, 4040, Fetish, Shooters, Royal Hung King Lum, Cafe' New Orleans, Ricky's, Hard Rock, & Sidelines. Shit, we had a choice. Now if they take away 815 & Tunel, it's a wrap!! Then we all wonder why we get treated the way we do by Sac PD & other law enforcement. Why all the black folks get put in the "bad apple" group!!? They see us ALL as being a threat. Getting pushed out the club, being hurded like cattle. Then we get bought out by Zokku's, Avalon & Empire all primarly whit clubs. Those clubs DON'T crack. We can't stress this enough. We should hold a townehall meeting. I mean it might not be as important as other stuff going on in the world, but we as black folks, minorities or whatever, should know how to conduct themselves & act in a manner that no one is. That pains me that we will never get respect from any law enforcement agency until we know how to act. Hit me up if you need any assistance. Cause although the training should have started @ HOME (as in home training), we can try to salvage what we have to try to make a comeback. I agree with everything you're saying. Unfortunately I have gotten into verbal altercations in the club with other women, never physical. Majority of the time it's over bumping into one another in the club and instead of just accepting the apology and moving forward, a smart ass comment is made. Or just women making smart ass comments in general to me and my girls for no reason, just because we walk by and they just decided not to like us. Some high school bullshit in the 21 and over club.I don't understand why some women have to act ignorant in the club, but Im starting to think most women do think getting " hyphy" and fighting is cute. It's not a good look, especially for us black women because we are already stereotyped for being argumentative and confrontational, having bad attitudes..etc. I wish more black women would break the stereotype and bring their manners and common sense to the club. Leave their drama at home and come out just to have a good time. They are not only painting a negative image for themselves, but also a negative image for the club because their actions reflect how people perceive what kind of crowd the club is drawing in. 815 is a coo club and I would hate to see the only "urban club" left in Sacramento get shut down or "turned out" like tunnel just because a couple "bad apples" fall from the tree. I totally agree!!!! I haven't had the opportunity to visit your venue, but the parking lot pimpin and women tripping over dumb shit is the reason why I end up having a blockbuster night. I'm from the bay, but now live in Stockton and I hate having to drive so far to have a good time. I do hope people wake up and get their attitudes together. Good Luck!!! The other day I did a party for E40 in LosAngles and the problem is growing all over cali but worse in Northern cali. It may not effect everybody, but being a positive person, before being a positve emcee, it is well needed to have these venues as outlets to educate the masses. It's a damn shame to see what was once The Spot, or place where you enjoyed so many good times be boarded up, or fenced in and locked up...i feel place's like the Library where a innocent girl was shot and killed, need to be closed because it brings awareness, and these place's should have zero tolerance rule's. It just sucks how one person can ruin it for everybody. We need to stand as a people and show this world we have class. Ignorant black people are the reason why we dont have black family night at the fair, to celebrate our heritage on that one night, that was taken from. In the bay area the festival at the lake was taken from us due to ignorance, in Atlanta the Freaknic was taken. Do we not see a pattern here, hello if they can shut us down they will, but why give them a reason. As a people lets grow not go down hill. We will really have more violence in the streets amongst black people if we have no where to go, but back to the streets. |
